  • At least one company, contact, or opportunity exists in the system

Test Steps

Navigate to a Company Detail page (or Contact Detail, Opportunity Detail, or Activities Dashboard)
The detail page loads with tabs and action buttons visible

Click the Log Activity button
System opens the activity form dialog

Select the activity type Call from the type selector
Form fields update to show Call-specific fields: Result, Outcome, Duration, Notes

Fill in the Result field (e.g., ‘Connected’), Outcome (e.g., ‘Scheduled follow-up’), Duration (e.g., ‘15 min’), and Notes (e.g., ‘Discussed renewal timeline’)
All fields accept input without errors

Click Submit to save the activity
System creates the activity record and closes the form dialog

Verify the new activity appears in the Activities timeline on the current entity’s detail page
Activity shows in the timeline with correct type, result, outcome, and timestamp

Repeat the process selecting Meeting as the type and verify the form shows: Outcome, Attendees, Notes
Meeting-specific fields display correctly
