Prerequisites

  • User is logged in
  • User has data.sales.companies.create permission
  • A CSV file with company data is available for upload

Test Steps

Navigate to the Companies list via the CRM sidenav
Companies list page loads

Click the Import button in the action toolbar
Import dialog opens with a file upload area

Upload a CSV file by clicking the upload area or dragging a file into it
CSV file is accepted and the system displays a column mapping interface

Review the column mapping: source columns on the left, target fields on the right. Map each source column to the appropriate target field
Column mapping interface displays with dropdowns for matching source to target fields

Optionally load a saved mapping if one exists from a previous import
Saved mapping loads and pre-fills the column mappings

Click Preview to see the parsed data before importing
Preview displays the parsed data showing how records will be created

Click Import to finalize the import
System creates company records from the CSV data and displays import results with success/failure counts

Optionally save the mapping for future imports, then verify newly imported companies appear in the Companies list
Mapping is saved (if selected). New companies are visible in the Companies list
