Prerequisites

  • User is logged in with data.sales.proposals.create permission
  • At least one company exists in the CRM

On the Proposals list page, click the New Proposal button
The proposal creation dialog opens

Verify the dialog displays a company selector and an optional opportunity link field
Creation dialog shows company selector dropdown and optional opportunity link

Select a company from the company selector
The company is selected and displayed in the selector field

Optionally link to an existing opportunity by selecting one from the opportunity field
An opportunity is linked to the proposal (or field is left empty)

Click Submit (or Create) to create the proposal
The system creates a draft proposal

Verify the Proposal Builder opens automatically
The Proposal Builder dialog/view opens with the new draft proposal

Verify the selected company is pre-populated in the Builder
The company name and details from the creation step are shown in the Builder
