Approve or Reject a Proposal

Prerequisites

  • A proposal is pending approval (UC-9.7)

Test Steps

Log in as an approver (Sales Manager or Admin)
Dashboard loads for the approver account

Open the Approvals panel (or click the approval notification)
The Approvals panel opens showing pending proposals

Locate and review the pending proposal
The proposal details are visible for review

Click Approve on the proposal
The proposal status changes to Approved

Verify the proposal status is now Approved and the approval is recorded in the history
Status shows Approved with approver name and timestamp in the approval history

For a second test: submit another proposal for approval, then open it in the Approvals panel and click Reject
The system prompts for a rejection reason

Enter a rejection reason and confirm the rejection
The proposal status changes to Rejected with the reason recorded

Verify the proposal creator is notified with the rejection reason
The creator receives a notification containing the rejection reason
